HieroHead

HieroHead is my tribute to those of us who grew up in the ’90s and fell in love with Hieroglyphics. Their music shaped our tastes, how we dressed, our attitudes, and the level of lyricism we would expect for the rest of our lives.

We didn’t just listen—we studied. Sometimes that meant opening a dictionary to decipher a word, unpack a verse, or catch a meaning we’d missed. Those lyrics expanded our vocabulary, sharpened our curiosity, and deepened our understanding of what language could do.

Growing up in Southern California, my friends and comrades shared that connection. This painting honors the music, the friendships, and the culture we still carry with us.

Hiero Heads for life.
